Counselling & Psychotherapy
in Newark
Are you in Newark and seeking professional counselling?
We all need a little help sometimes, and the decision to do something different and make a change is a brave one.
I'm Buick Hamblin, and I have over 20 years of experience providing confidential counselling services, including 12 years working for the NHS. Whether you are facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem or childhood trauma, I am here to help.
My therapeutic approach is primarily person-centred, and where beneficial, I combine this with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). We will work together to understand your unique situation and foster personal growth in a safe and welcoming environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement.
My practice, located in nearby Grantham, is a confidential and supportive space where we can empower you to achieve your goals and improve your quality of life through compassionate and personalised therapy.
I also offer online counselling, allowing you to access support from the comfort of your own home.

How it works
First Step
Realising that we can’t sort out what we are going through on our own. Recognising that the same thoughts are going round and round in our heads with no solution.
What can I expect ?
Speaking to someone who is listening to you without judgement and striving to really understand what life is like for you is the beginning of the therapeutic relationship.

Your first counselling session is an opportunity to ask any questions you have, talk over any worries about therapy and determine if we would work well together. You'll have time to talk about what you're struggling with at the moment and how you've coped so far. We'll also discuss your goals or hopes for therapy. Towards the end of the session, we'll cover the practicalities of scheduling appointments, fees, and cancellations.
-
In a non-judgmental and supportive environment, we'll explore your challenges and work together to help you gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. With greater clarity and compassion for yourself, you'll be able to respond to life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience. By listening deeply and offering guidance, I aim to help you develop new insights and coping strategies.
